The Town of Westford 1st and 2nd Quarter Real Estate & Personal Property Tax Bills Have Been Mailed

Fiscal Year 2013 1st & 2nd quarter tax bills were mailed on Friday, June 29, 2012.  Each tax bill mailing contains two bill stubs.  The first quarter bill stub is for the bill that is due on August 1, 2012.  The second quarter is due on November 1st, 2012.  There will not be a separate mailing for the November tax bill, so please keep the November bill stub in a place where you will find it in October.  These two bills are considered “preliminary” or estimated tax bills.  They do not necessarily reflect the final assessed value for the current fiscal year.  So, you will not find an assessed value on these tax bills anywhere.  (The final bills will come out in December and will show the FY2013 assessed value as well as the tax rate for FY13)

Tax bill information can be viewed online.  If you want to check the status of a payment or would like to see history, you can look up your bill on the town’s website.  Also, tax bills can be paid online until the due date.  Go to the Town’s website www.westfordma.gov/collector  for more information.
