2007 Dog Licenses!
2007 Dog licenses are now available at the Town Clerk’s Office. The fee is still $10
(waived if the owner is 70 or older) and a current rabies certificate is required. All 2006
licenses expire on December 31st and a late fee of $25 will be incurred after the grace
period (March 31st) in addition to the cost of the license.
White goods/appliance pickup
Trash items that are not burnable, from appliances to gas grills, sinks and toilets, may
be disposed of through a monthly curbside collection (usually on the third Saturday of
the month). The next pickup date is January 13th.
A $30 sticker is required per item from the Town Clerk’s Office (payable to Atlas
Recycling Service). The deadline for buying stickers is NOON on the Friday before the
pickup and the item(s) needs to be curbside by 7:00am on the pickup date. Check the
burnable items.
Absentee Ballots for the January 9th Election are now Available
If you know that you will be out of town on January 9th or are physically unable to get to
the polls, you may vote by absentee ballot. The process is simple. Apply for an
absentee ballot (in person or by mail) by stating your name, voting address, mailing
address, requesting an absentee ballot, and signing the request. Family members of
absentee voters may apply on the voter’s behalf by providing the voter’s name, voting
address, mailing address, your name and relationship to the voter. If you prefer to use
an application form, contact or stop by the Town Clerk’s Office or download an
family member of the voter).
WFA Christmas Tree Pickup
The Westford Firefighter’s Association will be picking up Christmas trees one weekend
only this year. The tree pickup days are Saturday, January 6th and Sunday, January 7th.
The trees should be curbside by 7:00am and free of any tinsel, garland and ornaments.
The cost is $5 per tree payable to the Westford Firefighter’s Association. To arrange
name, address, and desired pickup day.
