FY 08 Tax Classification Hearing
Issue: Annually, as related to setting a tax rate, Selectmen may vote at a required classification hearing to create as many as four different tax rates for residential, open space, commercial, and industrial and personal property.
This evening, after the public hearing, presentation from the Principal Assessor, the BoS will decide whether to have a single tax rate for the Town or to classify property.

Issue: Petition from Verizon New England and National Grid to place approximately ten (10) feet of underground conduit on Makepeace Road and to remove and replace one pole.

Presentation of final report of the Long Range Fiscal Policy Committee (LRFPC)
Issue: Kelly Ross, Chairman of the LRFPC will be present to review the final report of the Committee and to answer questions.

Town Common Usage Requests/Issues
a) Request to use Town Common for Farmer’s Market, 2008
Issue: Gloria Gilbert will be present to request use of the Common for the Farmer’s Market from June 24, 2008 until the end of October 2008. The Town Manager has requested written comments from Parks and Grounds as well as the Police Department.
b) Update on Common Restoration Project and Band Stand and irrigation System Plans
Issue: The Historic Commission will discuss the Common Restoration project as well as the proposed Bandstand and irrigation project
c) Request from Charade of Nashoba Valley to place Menorah on Town Common from December 4 to 12, 2007 and hold community event on Common on December 9, 2007 from 4:00-5:00 PM
Issue: Rabbi Zalman Gurkow will be present to discuss the Chabad’s request.
