AFFORDABLE HOME OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
FOR FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYERS
The Town of Westford is seeking two income eligible, first-time homebuyers for the purchase of two affordable units located on Silo Path (off Rt. 27) in the Town of Westford. Both units contain two bedrooms, an unfinished basement, a single car garage and a 10x10 deck.
Town of Westford employees will receive a preference for one of these units.
THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30PM) ON APRIL 16, 2007.
A first time homebuyer means any moderate-income household (below 80% of the area median income, by family size) as determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), who as not owned a home in the previous three years.
SALE PRICE: $143,800.
INCOME LIMITS:
Two-Person Household - $47,700
Three-Person Household - $53,650
Four-Person Household - $59,600
ASSET LIMIT: $50,000
An information session will be held on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 65 Tadmuck Road, Westford, MA, 7:00pm
An open house at the units will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2007 from 1-3pm
Applications may be obtained by stopping by or calling the Westford Housing Authority at (978) 692-6011 or may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s office at Westford Town Hall, during normal business hours.
To be included in the lottery, candidates must submit a mortgage pre-approval letter for the amount of mortgage they expect to assume.
