REMINDER-WESTFORD TAXPAYERS

Fourth quarter (4th) FY2008 real estate/personal property tax bills are due Thursday May 1, 2008. Please include coupon#2 from the December 28, 2007 mailing, when paying your bill. Interest at a rate of 14% will accrue on overdue payments received after February 1, 2008. Online payment is available, until 5/01/2008, at the Town website (westfordma.gov).

Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills are mailed semi-annually. Tax payments are due quarterly (August 1, November 1, February 1 and May 1). First and second quarter bills will be mailed the last week of June, third and fourth quarter bills will be mailed the last week of December. A coupon will be provided for each quarter . Please use coupon 1 for the first payment  and coupon 2 for the second. If you should have questions pertaining to the amount due, please call the Collector's office (978-692-5506).

DEPUTY COLLECTOR INFORMATION /EXCISE TAX WARRANTS
The Tax Collector's office is utilizing the services of Kelley and Ryan Associates, Inc. as our
Deputy Collector. For the convenience of our Westford residents, we now accept payment for excise tax warrants at the Tax Collector's window at Town Hall, or you may pay at any Kelley and Ryan's  offices located in Lowell, Beverly, Lawrence, Brockton, Taunton, Springfield or Hopedale. For directions to these offices you may call Kelley and Ryan Associates at 508-473-9660.

DROP OFF BOX
A payment drop off box is located at the back entrance of Town Hall. All payments dropped off after 3:00 P.M. will be credited the next business day.

Interesting Facts
Real estate taxes are due to be paid on: August 1, November 1, February 1 and May 1.

Personal property is defined as: The contents of a business (machinery, equipment, etc.) and property that fits in a summer home (furnishings, etc.)

Most excise bills are mailed in February. However, excise bills for vehicle purchased after January 1st could be mailed at any time during the year.
