Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine Information:
About the vaccine: There are 2 types of HPV vaccine on the market today, Gardasil and Cervarix. Both vaccines are a 3 dose series, meaning that all three doses must be given for protection. Both vaccines are licensed for ages 9 years through 26 years, but only Gardasil is licensed for boys and girls.
Availability:
Most Westford Health Dept. vaccines are provided to us by the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health (MDPH). MDPH determines the criteria for the population that we can administer the vaccine to. These criteria can change due to vaccine supply and/or MDPH budgets. Call our office (978-692-5509) if you have any questions.
Westford has MDPH supplied Gardasil vaccine available only for Westford residents with the following criteria:
Ages: 9yrs to under 19 yrs, boys and girls
Insurance: MassHealth/Medicaid or no insurance only
