Election Dates in Westford

According to the Town Bylaws, Ch.51, sec. 1.A., town elections are held on the first Tuesday in May. According to Bylaw Ch. 51, Sec. 1.B. annual town meetings are held on the fourth Saturday in March.

The voter registration deadline for elections and the annual town meeting is 20 day prior to the event.  For special town meetings, the deadline is 10 days prior to the event.

Special Town meetings are typically held in October.

Presidential Primary: (Tuesday) March 6
Voter registration deadline: February 15, 2012  
Town Meeting:  (Saturday) March 24
Voter registration deadline:  March 2
Town Election:  (Tuesday) May 1
Voter registration deadline:  April 11
State Primary:   (Thursday) September 6
Voter registration deadline:  August 17
Special Town Meeting:   (usually a Monday in October)
Voter registration deadline:  August 17
Presidential Election: (Tuesday) November 6
Voter registration deadline:  October 17
