The Town of Westford is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Bullet Proof Vest Partnership, US Department of Justice, in the amount of $4,630.10 for the purchase of 19 bullet proof vests for the Westford Police Department.
The Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) is a unique U.S. Department of Justice initiative designed to provide a critical resource to state and local law enforcement. Since 1999, over 11,900 jurisdictions have participated in the BVP Program, supporting the purchase of an estimated 642,000 vests.
